You sit at home chatting with a couple of your good friends online. You were currently in an argument with one of your friends Sollux Captor. You had always considered yourself to be a pretty good programmer. Although, Sollux loved to hackle you about your skills. He always argued that your skills were no where near his own.     A ray of light brushes across my eyes; a single strand of cobweb that I can’t seem to brush away.  Slowly, I open my eyes, letting the last of my vivid dream fade away.  Today is the day; the day that two of my friends could be sent to their deaths; the day that I could be sent to my death.
